Do X Games athletes get paid?
X Games uses Payment Labs to compliantly onboard hundreds of athletes from around the world and seamlessly pay contestants their earnings. Each athlete will be an independent contractor for the X Games League, not an employee of the teams, and will receive a base compensation of $30,000.Athletes from all over the world can be drafted to an X Games Club and will be assigned to the Club for 2 or 3 years. Each Club will draft their 10 athlete roster snake-style, meaning the 4 inaugural X Games Clubs pick 2 eligible athletes per round (1 man, 1 woman) to fill their 10 athlete roster.
Is X Games only snowboarding?
The X Games have been held all over the world and typically include sports such as skateboarding, BMX, freestyle motocross, skiing and snowboarding. Participants compete to win bronze, silver, and gold medals, in addition to prize money. X Games events may be unorthodox, but the prizes are just like those at the Olympics. For the winner, the top reward is a gold medal, followed by silver and bronze.
