Who owns Heritage Park?
Governance, charitable status & funding The land that Heritage Park is located on is owned by the City of Calgary. The Heritage Park Foundation Board, incorporated on March 17, 1976, is responsible for the stewardship of the Park’s endowment funds and is elected by up to 200 members of the Heritage Park Foundation. Heritage Park’s parking lots are a private paid lot. They are designed for the use of Heritage Park guests only, but anyone can pay to park in these lots. Those who do not pay will be ticketed by Calgary Parking Authority.Parking. Kings Park provides free parking only for those visitors within the park boundaries. Visitors are not permitted to park their vehicle in Kings Park and then leave Kings Park boundaries by any other means (on foot, by bus or in another vehicle).
