There are some areas and landmarks which you should avoid traveling at night. It includes Coki Beach, Savan, Frenchman Hills, and Charlotte Amalie. It’s common sense that you should use it and you will be safe. And never be careless about the weather and the power of nature. As mentioned above, take the same precautions you would anywhere. But I’ve never felt unsafe or uncomfortable anywhere, day or night. When we were there in 2019 we were told not to leave the resort at night. The island is safe at night in all the areas you may want to be.
