Len is a Canadian alternative rock duo based in Toronto, Ontario. The band consists of siblings Marc Costanzo (vocals, guitar) and Sharon Costanzo (vocals, bass) and a revolving lineup of touring and studio musicians. What happened to band Len?
Eventually, Len called it quits. Marc Costanzo announced on his MySpace blog sometime in 2008 that Len was finished, but fear not, because Sharon and he were to make their own record (as though Len wasn’t their own band). After the song, Len’s fame dropped, but they continued to release albums until 2005, followed by a seven-year hiatus. During this hiatus, Marc announced the group’s disbandment in a MySpace message dated 2008.
Are any members of the band still living?
Robbie Robertson died at the age of 80 on August 9, 2023, after battling prostate cancer. Garth Hudson, the last living original member, died at the age of 87 on January 21, 2025. Robertson, the band’s guitarist and lead songwriter, died in 2023 after a long illness. Keyboardist-drummer Richard Manuel hung himself in 1986, bassist Rick Danko died in his sleep in 1999 and drummer Levon Helm died of cancer in 2012.
