What material is Apeks RK3?
PRODUCT DETAILS. The Apeks RK3 is a rugged thermoplastic rubber fin featuring an over-sized foot pocket to accommodate drysuit boots and a spring strap for easy donning and doffing. The Apeks RK3 HD is the latest model in the RK3 range. It is made from a higher density (HD) than the standard RK3, which makes the fin stiffer and with negative buoyancy, ideal for wetsuit diving. The blades on the Apeks RK3 fins are neutrally buoyant and lightweight,* meaning they are a great fin for divers who want a channel fin but primarily dive in warm waters where exposure suits are less buoyant. This means you wouldn’t need—or miss—the extra fin weight to offset the extra buoyancy in a drysuit.Do we recommend the Apeks RK3 fins? We do recommend the Apeks RK3 fins. They are some of the best channel fins on the market. They support both flutter and frog kicks and, with the wide foot pocket, they can be used with both neoprene boots and drysuit rock boots.RK 4 boot size is the same as RK3. They are a little heavier (not much) but are stiffer , for uk diving I think they’re a great fin. I like my RK3 but at times they don’t have enough go in them.
