The hardest part of surfing is typically mastering the pop-up technique and effectively paddling out to the waves. The ocean is unpredictable and has a way of throwing challenges at you without warning. The surf instruction is well-structured, methodical, and easy to follow. As a seventy-year-old, I was not the typical surf-school student, but I had the time of my life and learned to surf, which I had wanted to do for many years.
Is fireside surf good for skimboarding?
Fireside Surf provides everything you need to catch a wave, but you can use your own equipment. Boards must be inspected and approved before being used in the pool. Please note: boards over 6′ long are not ideal for this wave, and skim boards, SUP boards and foil boards are not allowed. Beginner, intermediate and professional surfers can all use wave pools to improve their skills and catch waves without needing to wait for the right ocean conditions.
