How do you remove sticky wax?
Soak a clean washcloth in hot water, and place it on the wax or wax residue to soften the wax. Let it sit in the area for around 1-2 minutes. Once wax is loosened, remove it with your washcloth. Mineral oil can also be used to remove small areas of wax or wax residue from the body. Dip a cotton pad in mineral oil, massage oil, or olive oil. Warmer oil works better than cold oil. Hold the soaked pad on the wax residue until it’s saturated — about two minutes. Wipe off the wax residue with a clean cotton pad.Apply isopropyl alcohol or a specialized adhesive remover to remove residual wax particles. Wipe thoroughly with a clean microfiber cloth.Take a small amount of Vaseline or petroleum jelly on your fingertips and rub it gently over the waxed area. Let it sit for a few minutes to allow the Vaseline to penetrate the wax residue. Use a clean and dry cotton pad or cloth to wipe away the Vaseline and the wax residue.Rub a thick layer of petroleum jelly over the extra wax to clear it away. Let the jelly sit for at least 4 minutes. Then, rub away the product with a clean cotton ball or cotton pad. This little wipe-down should get rid of any pesky wax residue.
