Is the Silver Surfer a man or a woman?
In the film, which will soon be released in theatres, the silver surfer is being introduced as a woman, and it will be portrayed by garner. It is not the first time the gender of a marvel character has changed in the mcu, but it is certainly the first time it is this significant. There’s been a female silver surfer in the comics before, and she debuted in the 1960’s. She was shalla-bal, the original surfer’s girlfriend who was once granted the power cosmic by norrin radd himself (for those of you who don’t read the comics, norrin radd is the silver surfer’s real name).
Why did Silver Surfers become female?
Hailing from Earth 616, Norrin Radd makes a sacrifice and becomes a servant of Galactus for the sake of his home planet and his love, Shalla Bal. Now, this Shalla Bal was never linked to the powerful title, but a variant of her from an alternate reality called Earth X is given a Silver Surfer makeover by Galactus. Alr LeGivorden Shalla Bal is an actual character in the comics who has been the Silver Surfer. It’s not like they gender swapped Norrin Radd. Joey Gorman she was never “the silver surfer”. In a one off non canon comic galactic gave her powers to and they travelled together.
Is Silver Surfer Magneto’s son?
