How much does it cost to surf Lake Yeppoon?
It costs $85,000 to rent the place for a day in summer. It’s reported to cost $500 to ride a single wave. Surf Lakes’ founder Aaron Trevis riding his Yeppoon wave. At $950 for entry, with six waves guaranteed, that equals $158. However, Ryan Watkins, the general manager of Surf Abu Dhabi, says the price is justified: “We’ve adopted a quality over quantity methodology. We run the best waves in the world; we definitely don’t run the most waves.
