However, you might find occasional workout errors – it will sometimes miss or add a lap if your turn is strange or you switch strokes mid-length.For serious swimmers, the Garmin Swim 2 excels. It provides accurate lap counting, stroke detection, and pace tracking. The device can even detect the type of stroke you’re using. The Fitbit Sense 2 offers basic swim tracking but lacks the depth of swim-specific metrics.Garmin Swim 2 If you’re looking for the cheapest Garmin watch that can track both pool and open-water swimming, as well as set up workouts and drills to follow, it’s the Swim 2 you want.
