How to know when a paddle board is fully inflated?

How long should it take to inflate a paddle board?

This hand pump comes included with every inflatable paddle board package. The electric paddle board pump is about 1 minute per psi. We have two pump options: a manual air pump for inflatables and an electric paddle board pump. Both pumps take about 10 minutes or so to inflate the board to 10-12 psi. The manual isup pump is the pump you will receive if you purchase the inflatable board package.Remove the cap on the fitting and connect a standard electric pump, bike pump, or compressor and inflate to the recommended PSI. Because the air pumps take time to inflate, it is recommended to inflate the board by hand until it becomes difficult to pump and then use the adaptor to top off the pressure.
Why does my paddle board keep deflating when I take the pump off?
This may seem counterintuitive, but it works because a closed SUP valve has a rubber stopper on a spring that allows pressurized air to push through the valve while preventing air from coming back out. If you leave the valve stem in the open position, you will lose all of the air pressure when you remove the hose. To Inflate – Valve pin UP Press and turn counterclockwise to the UP position. This activates the non-return valve and prevents air from escaping when you remove the pump hose.
Is it better to store inflatable paddle boards inflated or deflated?
Inflated Vs Deflated If you’re storing the board somewhere particularly warm, it’s best to let out a little air to avoid any damage. These changes in temperature and pressure are why we recommend deflating your board for long term storage. In summary, it is generally OK to leave your inflatable stand up board fully inflated, provided you follow the manufacturer’s recommendations and store it in a cool, dry place.
