How to join the British sailing team?
You need to have experience of racing amongst national fleets, can apply good tactical knowledge to practice and must be eligible to represent Great Britain (in accordance with World Sailing Regulation 19) as well as a member of the RYA. Qualifications needed to become a sailing instructor RYA Dinghy Sailing Instructor Certificate. First Aid Certificate. RYA Powerboat Level 2. Safe and Fun Safeguarding Course.
Does Cambridge have a sailing team?
The Cruising Club is a University sailing and windsurfing club with sections organising Team Racing, Dinghy Sailing (training, social sailing and fleet racing), and Windsurfing for members of Cambridge University. Our beautiful sailing center is located 15 minutes from campus and allows us access to the waters of Long Island Sound. Our team is made up of equal parts recruited athletes and walk-ons.
