How durable is Starboard?
Starboard is a plastic sheet material made of high-density polyethylene (hdpe) and infused with uv inhibitors. In fact, it’s one of the few materials that is nearly impervious to uv exposure. This makes it highly durable, even in the harshest weather. starboard material will never rot, delaminate, or fade. Weighs up to 30% less with the same surface finish as king starboard®. Ideal for fabricating any boat part where high structural strength or a finished edge is not required. Precise tolerances ensure consistent color, thickness and density–even for thicker gauges. Holds staples and screws securely.King Starboard is specially designed to withstand the harshest marine environments. Its waterproof and UV-resistant properties make it ideal for parts exposed to saltwater, sun, and heavy moisture without warping, swelling, or fading.King StarBoard® is the original marine-grade high-density polyethylene sheet and the leading brand in the marine industry.
