Tallington Lakes is the site of a former gravel pit, which ceased operations in the 1970s and was subsequently purchased for redevelopment into a leisure facility covering just over 200 acres, much of which is taken up by the clear, spring-fed lakes which resulted from the site’s excavation. Tallington Lakes is a splendid lakeside park set in 305 acres of beautiful Lincolnshire countryside, close to the county borders of Cambridgeshire and Rutland.
