Can you swim at Apostle Islands?
A wide variety of activities await you in this area. In fact, the Apostle National Lakeshore is one of the most popular kayaking destinations in North America. In the summer you can also swim, fish, sail or hike. In the winter you can ice fish, cross-country ski or snowshoe. The Apostle Island area is great to visit during summer, fall or winter. These seasons have all something to offer. During the winter time the lake freezes so you are able to walk across the lake and see some stunning ice formations. Fall on the other side offers a wonderful foliage up in Northern Wisconsin.
