Are Cressi masks good?
I’m a big fan of the Cressi F1 – it’s insanely cheap yet offers superb value for money and also the rare feature of being a frameless dive mask. There’s so much going for frameless dive masks – they’re compact, streamlined, easy to clear and exert less pressure on the wearers face. The Cressi Atom Mask is a radical mask with incredibly low internal volume, thought and built for free-diving. It is a frameless mask. Construction material has been reduced to the minimum. Inside the silicon facial, a stiff core is co-stamped with the two lenses, giving just the right rigidity to the mask.
How do you clean a Cressi mask?
Warm sweet water is best to dissolve salt crystals that are attached to the mask. Add some drops of dish soap or baby shampoo and wash your mask trough out making sure you get into all the little pocket and difficult corners of the mask. After washing, simply dry it off with a towel and store it in a dry place. Tips for Dive- Mask Care: – Soak in warm fresh water after each use. Rinse thoroughly with fresh water and let it air dry. Store in a cool, dry and protected place out of direct sunlight in proper case.Use the correct size mask. If the mask holds on your face comfortably and snugly, you should have a good seal. You can also try moving your mouth or, if possible, placing a regulator or a snorkel in your mouth to see if the facial movements would easily break the mask seal.Remember that if you are using a full face snorkel that you should only dive underwater for 2 – 3 minutes and once returning to the surface ensure the ball seal has returned to unblocking the breathing valve.
