Where to kayak from Deep Cove?
Enjoy your paddle at Cates Park and chill out on the sandy beaches. Just a 5 minute drive from Deep Cove, Cates Park Paddling Centre offers an excellent location to both kayak and paddleboard in North Vancouver. Deep Creek Lake State Park also offers a beach area for swimming and kayaks, paddleboards, tubes and beach chairs are available for rent at the beach.Kayak rentals, lessons and tours are available from deep cove canoe & kayak. If you have your own kayak and gear then you’re well on your way as long as you can find a parking spot nearby. The public parking lots fill up fast so ensure you get there early in the day to ensure a spot.
Where can I swim in Deep Cove?
Deep Cove’s sandy beach is small, but nice for swimming. A paved pathway runs all along the water in town, with Deep Cove’s pier and the marina in the middle. Slightly to the north of the shops and restaurants is Panorama Park, with a picnic shelter, large grassy lawns on a hill and a popular children’s play area. Located in Vancouver’s North Shore, Deep Cove is a good place for kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, hiking, etc. There are cafes and shops along its Main Street to check out after an activity. Honey’s has wonderful home made breakfast and lunch fare.A favourite shooting location for tv and film productions, and home to galleries, concerts in the park, and its own small stage theatre, the deep cove area includes the cove cliff, dollarton, and indian arm neighbourhoods, as well as deep cove village.
