The brands will continue to be sold, however, as licenses have been transferred to another company. The licenses for Liberated to operate Volcom, RVCA and Billabong in North America were terminated in December of last year “as a result of Liberated’s default under the associated licenses,” according to Liberated’s CEO.Liberated had licensed a large portion of the portfolio of Authentic Brands Group, which bought Billabong, Quiksilver, RVCA, Roxy and others from Boardriders in September 2023. Before that, the company had already licensed the Volcom and Spyder brands, also owned by Authentic.
