What sport is McGill known for?
Mcgill was home to the first intercollegiate hockey, football, swimming and basketball teams in canada, and it was here that the foundations of north american collegiate sports were established. Athletics and recreation activities remain an exciting and essential part of the student experience. Many mcgill sports teams rely on beginning-of-term tryouts to recruit student athletes. While most of these tryouts occur shortly after move-in weekend, some tryouts are scheduled during or even before aug.
