What is a starfish float in swimming?
The starfish float is a basic swimming technique. To do so, you float on your back or your chest in a horizontal position with the arms and legs spread apart. Seen from above this position reminds one of a starfish. The star float is a flotation device designed to help swimmers develop their balance and coordination in the water. It allows swimmers to practice kicking and arm movements without needing to worry about staying afloat.
