Bark is excellent at monitoring and giving parents more peace of mind as their child navigates a new world of devices, apps, and web surfing. However, some parents are seeking intrusive surveillance and a detailed account of their child’s online activities, and Bark doesn’t offer that. Bark’s also not the best for younger kids who need more hands-on management. Parents can’t control contact lists, set overall time limits, or remotely lock down the device with the Bark app. However, those capabilities are available in the Bark Phone and Bark Watch.
