Swimming is prohibited at the Basin. Can You Swim in the Reflecting Pool? No. It is both not allowed and due to the shallow water, not even possible. You are also discouraged from wading or walking in it.The Reflecting Pool is part of the Lincoln Memorial grounds and was designed as a place of calm and reflection, not recreation.
