Is it safe to go under a waterfall?
Even if the water looks calm or gentle, waterfalls can be very powerful. The force of the water can create hidden undercurrents, dangerous whirlpools, or turbulent conditions in the water below. Don’t wade, swim, or attempt to cross the stream near a waterfall unless it’s designated as safe. If you are looking to get into the water I suggest this route. Start behind the Nature Center and work your way through. The mini waterfalls are perfect for cooling off and photo ops. And the view from the top is humbling.
