The private side is formed of three main bodies of water, connected by navigable canals. The public and private sides are divided by three stone dikes. The private side has no marinas or public access ramps; only property owners and North Anna Power Station employees have access to the waters on the private side. Public side: True to its name, this side includes public entry points. You don’t need to own property to go fishing or swimming. Private side: Access is strictly for property owners and their guests. This exclusivity limits boat traffic and provides a more peaceful water experience.The private side does not allow commercial operation on its shoreline and you must be a property owner to access the water on the private side, as there are no public launch sites, NO MARINAS, NO RESTAURANTS, etc. NOTE: the two sides are separated by three dykes, so you cannot cross to the other side by boat.
