What is a PADI course?
PADI® Open Water Diver is the first scuba certification level. A highly-trained PADI Instructor will teach you how to scuba dive in a relaxed, supportive learning environment. By the end of the course, you’ll have the skills and knowledge to dive at home or abroad and be an ambassador for the underwater world. The minimum age is 10 years old (in most areas). How long do PADI courses take?

Can I retake the PADI exam?
This is reviewed in a final test in which you must score 75% or higher. If you fail, you can retake the test. See ‘PADI test questions’ below for more. What is the hardest PADI course?

PADI, however, do insist on purchasing the materials – no matter if you are traveling around the world or learning at home.PADI Open Water Diver Course follows a strict, standardized structure with set requirements for every student. This is great for consistency, but it can sometimes feel rigid. SSI Open Water Diver Course is designed to be more flexible, allowing instructors to adapt the training to individual learning speeds.If you’re looking to become professional as a scuba diving instructor you may want to opt for PADI since it is the more well-known of the two. If you want to pursue diving as a career (and not be a dive instructor) then SDI may work better for you, given their connection to TDI.
What happens if you fail the PADI test?
If you get less than 75% in one of the five sections you will be allowed to retake that section later in the IE.
