What is ice surfing?
Ice surfing is really a hybrid sport, mixing the speed of ice boating with the agility and power of wind surfing. The ice surfing board is similar in size and shape to a big skateboard. Most boards have two blades in the back for stability and either one or two blades in the front to control the steering. Surfing is a surface water sport in which an individual, a surfer (or two in tandem surfing), uses a board to ride on the forward section, or face, of a moving wave of water, which usually carries the surfer towards the shore.Surf-Freestyle is a competition format that aims to drive the ultimate levels of trick performance and expression. Riders battle against each other in heats of two or three, surfing waves or performing explosive and technically skilled air moves that are scored by judges.Surfskating is a form of skateboarding that mimics the movements and feel of surfing. Surfskates have a specially-designed front truck that enable very tight, smooth turns and typical surfing maneuvers. On a surfskate, you can carve in, through, around the tightest urban corners and obstacles.
Is winter surfing safe?
