This location on the northern shore of the Mediterranean is significant to the company’s historical success and current activities. Historically, the region is the birthplace of modern diving. Formerly Cressi-Sub, the Italian company was founded by two brothers, Egidio and Nanni Cressi in 1946 in Genoa, Italy. Still family owned and operated, the company is headed today by Antonio Cressi and its headquarters and manufacturing facilities remain in Genoa.
Is Cressi worth it?
Cressi Matrix Mask Value I think the Cressi Matrix Mask offers one of the best value options on the market for a high quality mask. Its been around now for some time and it now also has predecessors, such as The Evolution and Evo Big Eyes which for me are more or less the same design just revamped. The Cressi F1 Mask offers a fantastic fit at a good price point for beginner snorkelers.In most cases, we don’t recommend diving underwater for any more than 2 minutes with a full face snorkel. Even if you are an experienced snorkeler who is going out in perfect conditions, we don’t recommend diving for more than 2 minutes.The short answer is YES. Essentially, snorkeling is a surface sport that involves mostly floating and requires very little (if any) actual swimming. Plenty of non-swimmers snorkel all the time, still, it’s important that you know how to do it right and prepare a bit ahead of time.Full-face snorkeling masks are a good choice for casual snorkeling in calm water. Is Cressi F1 good?
FINAL VERDICT: I’m a big fan of the Cressi F1 – it’s insanely cheap yet offers superb value for money and also the rare feature of being a frameless dive mask. There’s so much going for frameless dive masks – they’re compact, streamlined, easy to clear and exert less pressure on the wearers face. Removing your snorkel before diving is safer and more efficient. Here’s why: Prevents inhaling water: If there’s water in the snorkel, you risk choking when you surface. Reduces blackout risk: Snorkels trap stale air, making recovery breathing less effective.High surf, high winds, heavy shorebreak and strong currents are bad conditions for snorkeling. Take a few minutes to assess the water, and check with lifeguards before you go in. If conditions appear to be dangerous, do not go snorkeling.With the swim snorkel, you can swim easily and quickly without vibrations and it will stay in place in your mouth and your forehead.
