Is Cressi a good brand on Reddit?
Yes, there are better brands out there, and it always depends on what kind of diving you’re planning to do, but in my experience, you can’t go too far wrong with Cressi. Unlike scuba diving where you have your own air supply, snorkels don’t let you breathe while you are fully submerged in the water. The breathing tube can fill up if it dips below the water’s surface, for example, a wave splashing over you, or if you dive underwater to get a closer look at marine life.If the tube is submerged, the buoy rises to the top of the tube and plugs the valve which prevents water from flooding the snorkel. With a dry snorkel, you can dive completely underwater without flooding your snorkel! If water does get inside the tube, the purge valve easily removes the water from the snorkel. For newbies we recommend a dry snorkel – A dry snorkel is designed to keep water from entering the breathing tube when submerged.Cressi Alpha Ultra Dry Snorkel, is a great snorkel for diving and snorkelling. With a dry valve to stop water from entering when surface diving making hours of snorkelling great fun and easy. The snorkel is a tube that allows you to breathe while your face is in the water.
