Your spraydeck will keep water from dripping onto you, keeps waves out of your boat and will generally give you a drier and warmer paddling experience. A spraydeck (sprayskirt in N. America, akuilisaq or tuiitsoq in Greenland) is a flexible waterproof cover for a boat (in particular for a kayak or a canoe) with holes for the passengers’ waists. Spraydecks are used to prevent water from entering the boat while allowing passengers to paddle or row.
Is it best to spray or roll a deck?

How long does it take for spray-deck to dry? After 8 hours, your spray-deck is dry, although best to wait until the next day to set foot, and 2 days to completely use with vehicles.
How to seal a deck with a sprayer?
Fill the sprayer with the sealer and adjust the nozzle for an even spray pattern. Apply the sealer in a consistent, sweeping motion, overlapping each pass slightly to ensure even coverage.
