Which bodyboard should I buy?
If you’re going to be riding big waves primarily, you should choose a shorter bodyboard. A smaller bodyboard will give you more control and agility as more of your body is in the water. If the surf you’re going to be riding are small waves, a longer board will give you more buoyancy and stability in the water. Rider Weight and Height: Generally, the size of the bodyboard should correspond to the rider’s weight and height. As a rule of thumb, smaller boards (around 37-40 inches) are suited for lighter and shorter riders, while larger boards (around 42-46 inches) are better for heavier and taller riders.If you’re riding is mostly bigger waves, consider a bodyboard on the shorter end of your optimal size range. So if you’re 5’6” to 6’0” tall, an 8’6” to 9’0” longboard would be pretty ideal.
Are bigger bodyboards better?
